Kathrin Askew

Greetings paint and up-cycling lovers.

I would like to introduce myself as I have recently taken over the Crab Apple Vintage shop from my dear friend and long time colleague Martina Long.

I have worked with Martina for the past 6 years and have fallen in love with all things Annie Sloan and everything that comes with it.

When the opportunity arose to take over this well loved business and to become an Annie Sloan stockist I didn’t think twice.

Turning old and used items into something beautiful and new again is something that is very close to my heart.

I believe that it is good for the soul to do something creative and the bonus is giving new life to old and wonderful pieces that would otherwise end up in landfill or dust collectors in our garages.

To create something special and hand-painted is a truly wonderful feeling! With Annie Sloan's paint and all the other products that I offer, you can do just that with ease, no matter what your experience is.

Annie Sloan was a mother of young children and time-poor, so she created this paint to be able to finish a piece in a day without all the time extensive preparations.

I myself am a mother of two and have (very) busy days, but I still have the need to be creative. So when I can paint a piece in a few hours and wax it that same day I feel happy, content and accomplished.

Kat xx
